Kylie underwent a bunionectomy/lapiplasty procedure after progressive pain and deformity of her big toe that was limiting her ability to enjoy her favorite activities. Despite her surgeon indicating that PT was optional, Kylie advocated for herself, wanting a faster and better recovery if possible.
Kylie says: “Mike helped me to see the small changes during this long recovery process. It really did require patience, dedication, and a trust in the process. I was willing to take on new challenges and do my homework. I didn’t want to settle for “good enough” and now I can go on my favorite long hilly bike rides. I’m doing long strenuous hikes and even jogging with more speed. Thank you, Zack and Mike!”
Mike says: “Kylie has been an awesome patient to work with. She’s got this unique blend of a passion to get back to what she loves and a willingness to “test the waters” while still trusting our guidance. Kylie has been super diligent about keeping her visits and doing her homework. It’s paying huge dividends for her – her toe and ankle motion are improved, strength and balance much better, and now she’s cycling, hiking, and jogging once again. The smile on her face when she shares those “wins” never gets old. Way to go Kylie!”
Kylie chose the Lollypop Farm as her charity. A $50 donation has been made to Lollypop in honor of Kylie’s accomplishments here at Peak.
