Kurt had a partial knee replacement in August 2023. It never felt right. His knee felt so stiff that he couldn’t bend or straighten it all the way. He walked bent over and in pain despite spending hours a day stretching. A Buffalo surgeon decided to perform a total knee replacement instead. Now Kurt’s restarted the whole rehab process all over, and is looking forward to a better outcome.
Kurt says: “Mike was willing to communicate with my surgeon months before my procedure to strategize a plan for post-surgery. I always feel like family when I’m at Peak. I work hard, and get to discuss golf, football, and Mike’s vertical leap! I’m seeing the end of the tunnel finally. It’s crazy to say, but I’m so glad to simply walk around the block these days! Thanks Peak for your mental support as much as the physical side in this long recovery process.”
Mike says: “You talk about someone who’s a “grinder”…it’s Kurt! This man does not let up. He is super determined to get back to normal. To be walking, golfing – simply not having to think about his knee. He’s trusted the process and been such a trooper with being so committed the first time around and then having such internal drive to take on the rehab challenge again! He’s made really good strides so far. Kurt, congrats on your accomplishments – can’t wait to see this through to the end. Gonna have to celebrate on the golf course!!!”
Kurt chose Lollypop Farm as his charity. Peak Performance has made a $50 donation to Lollypop Farm in Kurt’s name to honor his accomplishments here at Peak.
Way to go Kurt!
