June 2023 Peak Performer of the Month

Julia Mann

Meet Julia

Julia had been struggling with knee pain for the past four years. It impacted her gymnastics, but also her normal teenage life. She knew how to push through difficult things, but in January of this year the struggle became too much. She just wanted to stand up from a couch without her knees hurting.

Julia says: “Coming to Peak gave me hope for a full recovery. Bill, Zack and all of the staff make this place so inviting and motivating that it’s easy to work hard. The exercises were specific for me and I felt comfortable asking for help when I needed it. I have seen so many improvements and I feel more normal than I have in years. I’m back to running and jumping, and working out pain free. I aspire to be a physical therapist one day, hopefully as good as the Peak staff.”

Bill says: “When Julia first came to Peak, she was emotionally broken down. She had been trying to get rid of her pain but nothing she tried gave her the relief she sought. I could sense that she was really hard working, and she proved me right. She was open to tweaking her exercises until they were pain free. She began pushing me to progress her faster, and she handled it like a champ. She is now out and living the life a college student should! Great job Julia!!”

Julia chose Bethany House as her charity. A $50 donation has been made to Bethany House in honor of Julia’s accomplishments here at Peak!

Way to go Julia!!
