Katelyn had been playing lacrosse at Syracuse University as a faceoff specialist. In 2023, she tore her ACL, meniscus, and had a chondral lesion on her femur. That is an extensive injury. She was doing well, but wanted to add on to what her ATC’s had given her. She came to Peak to enhance her rehab during school breaks. Even she didn’t know she would go on to a record setting season!
Katelyn says: “I am always committed to not look too far ahead and just fall in love with the day-to-day process of training. Peak spent time getting to know me and becoming part of the army that helped me get back to where I needed to be. They pinpointed areas besides my knee that contributed to my knee pain. I can now run, sprint, and change directions effortlessly. Not only did I play at my highest level, but without injuries or any lingering pains that I had in previous seasons. So glad that I worked with Peak!
Mike says: “Katelyn is simply an elite athlete. This showed in her awesome work ethic and the focus she had doing what she needed to do to get back to Division I Lacrosse. She appreciated and trusted the functional biomechanics approach that I designed for her rehab that supplemented what she had already started at school. Getting back to setting records and becoming an All-American selection her first season back speaks volumes about her drive. Way to go Katelyn, you did it!!!”
Katelyn chose the Lollypop Farm as her charity. A $50 donation has been made to Lollypop in honor of Katelyn’s accomplishments here at Peak.
